As what started as sanitary pads drives in 2019 to assist those less fortunate studying at the Wits University for the founder, Nobuhle Langa turned out to be an empowering and impactful organisation where hundreds or thousands of lives have been changed. This organisation has become a part of who I am as an individual and what a humbling experience has it been. The Langelihle Youth Foundation was birthed through the desire to change the socio-economic issues faced by millions of South Africans.
Responding with compassion and courage to the challenges faced by South Africans, Nobuhle Langa was compelled by a strong conviction that every small act can change one life. With hearts willing to respond, hands ready to serve and heads ready to learn, love and empower, the Langelihle Youth Foundation team is committed to the vision of changing lives of South Africans.
Our vision is to ensure that those less fortunate including both the youth and adults have access to necessities, equal opportunities, and a brighter future. We strongly believe that by investing in our communities, townships and villages and foster collaboration, to break the cycle of poverty and create a lasting positive change and legacy.
The Langelihle Youth Foundation provides support and resources to underprivileged communities and empowering the youth to overcome adversity and achieve their full potential. The Langelihle Youth Foundation aims to create sustainable change by addressing key issues such as providing tertiary funding to those less fortunate, mentorship and tutoring programmes, providing sanitary pads to ensure that young girls have the necessary resources to attend classes at school, and building future leaders to ensure economic development.
Maintaining humility, transparency and accountability when serving the public is of importance to Langelihle Youth Foundation. We ensure that the lives of the individuals we have had a good impact on remains truthful.
Building sustainable relationships and collaborating alongside with other individuals or organisations results in a bigger impact than when done alone.
